The story I prefer the most among Lamb to the Slaughter,Male Child and Love

I like "Lamb to the Slaughter" the most although the other two are equally spellbinding and feature unexpected endings.

Firstly, I like the way Roald Dahl narrate the story and describe it in precise details. He developed the tension gradually and lengthily that the climax was so brief and sudden that left us readers aghast------Mary Maloney, a good and loyal wife that had always cared for her husband's needs and loved him more than anything else in the world cold-heartedly murdered her husband! My initial impression of a good wife Mary Maloney was was immediately transformed into a cunning and sly person that I felt completely strange.

Not only did Mary Maloney not went to get medical help despite the little hope left to revive her husband, in fact covered it all up and deceived the dumb investigators by luring them into digesting the greatest evidence that was right under their noses.

That's the reason I chose Lamb to the Slaughter, the first story I read among the three stories.
