Viewpoints on Child Labour in India

Child Labour in India

Perspective of The Human Rights Organization
Child labor is a world phenomenon which is considered exploitative and inhuman by many international organization.Children should be illegalised to be working at a young age as it sometimes is highly hazardous because many work are inappropriate for their age and that may influence their health and physical development.Their mental development too would be affected as their right to have education is interfered with these labours therefore their knowledge and thinking level might be inferior as compared to ordinary educated people. That could make a big difference in their future.Besides health, physical and mental development, child labours would also be harmful to the child's spiritual, moral and social development because they are less exposed to the world.

Perspective of the Indian Government
These children are actually a source of income for their families. They are often expected by their families to uphold a responsibility of sustaining their families.Regarding the problem of them being deprived of education at such a young age, below fourteen, they are seen as the person supporting the education of their siblings by using the meagre wages they earn to afford the necessary education fee of their siblings.
Actions have already been taken by prohibiting children whose age is below fourteen to labour except in family owned enterprises.

My perspective
Children are the ones determining the path of their country in the future. What would be of India if it does not nurture it's children well?Surely there would still be prevalence of child labours because the country economy hardly achieve growth due to the number of improverished families.Working in unhygenic condition will spread diseases quickly and infect the children, thus making them physically and mentally weak, because they are still young so their bodies are vulnerable, aggravated by the lack of energy due to the barely adequate food they have and yet still have to do heavy work. They do not have the enjoyment of childhood that most of us do ,the nice memories.I believe if India is able to decrease the number of child labour as much as possible and instead use advanced technology to replace child labour, it would be more efficient, take less time and money.
